2009 is off to quite a start

Wow, I didn't realize until just now that I hadn't written a blog entry this year.  2009 has gotten off to quite a start.  I have a residency at Contour afterhours (twice per month), and I'm about to rock the See Sound Lounge with the legendary Eva - can't complain about that! 

The site I was using for hosting my mixes is yet another casualty of the economic downturn.  I'll be moving my mixes to a new site soon, so don't get worried if you see nothing on my Music page.

Saturday April 18th @ Contour (afterhours, so technically Sunday morning)

Friday May 1st @ Contour (afterhours again, so technically Saturday morning)

Unfortunately, it's not all good news.  A beloved member of the club/electronic music community was brutally beaten two weekends ago outside near Noc Noc.  He died in the hospital less than a week later.  I'll have more commentary, but for now, I just want to say that the world will deeply miss you, Troy.  You brought more smiles to the world in less than half a lifetime than most people do in their entire lifetime.  May that beauty live on in your son.
